Malaga Day 2 - part 2
After lazing about for ages, we went out to Santa Coffee for a wee beverage. I had a flat white and K had a latte. It's a nice local hipster style coffee shop, the cakes looked good too but we were saving ourselves.
After yet another wander we grabbed a seat outside Casa Lola for a drink. I had a beer (sin alcohol) and K had a Fanta limon. We weren't going to eat anything but accidentally had a couple of ox tail croquetas each cos we're gluttons! The place was very chaotic as it was very understaffed and very busy. Our service was slow but eventually fruitful but the American couple next to us had a terrible time of it.
The we came back to the apartment to get ready for dinner and I had a lovely birthday video call with Gemma and Dean.
Eventually, it was 9pm and time for dinner. We headed round to El Meson de Cervantes where we've had a couple of good meals on previous visits. It was rammed as always but luckily K booked it weeks ago.
We had the same sassy old woman server as the last time, I assume she has something to do with the ownership of the business. We had a lot of food - all delicious - and I'm currently lying on top of the bed feeling too full while K casually eats a Toblerone.
We had a full rocket, goats cheese and forest fruits salad which was way more than the sum of its parts. Then we had 4 meaty af half portions (hence the stuffedness). They were beef with chimichurri and some potatoes and salad; iberico pork with roast pumpkin and pineapple puree; meatballs in a tomato sauce with rice and an absolutely delicious wild boar stew with a sort of tattie scone. We came a long way home to try and walk some of it off but it didn't help at all.
I need to eat loads again tomorrow to fit everything in!
